Ribbon Cutting at Maw and Pa’s Country Cafe

Maw and Pa’s Country Café’ opened March 12th after two long years of renovation following the buildings’ fire in the summer of 2016.  The building that was known as Weston Plumbing for 30 years was burned by what was ruled as an electrical fire.  The fire was tragic to Wilburton as it affected many surrounding buildings.  In November of 2016, Steve and Charlene Cass of Quinton purchased the building with determination to renovate it back to life for the town of Wilburton.  The Cass building does just that. They chose to put a restaurant in Wilburton as Charlene has always loved the town of Wilburton and owning a restaurant has always been a dream of hers.

Steve, along Charlene and their children, renovated the entire building from the ground up.  Long days were had as they worked full time jobs and worked on the building in the evenings and weekends.  Their determination was effective.
